EMV Technologies, LLC has completed a Phase I STTR grant from the National Institutes of Health to develop new nanoporous ceramic membranes for kidney dialysis. The prototype hemodialyzers have demonstrated outstanding solute clearance performance compared to synthetic polymer membranes currently used.
