EMV Technologies, LLC has completed a Phase I STTR grant from the National Institutes of Health to develop new nanoporous ceramic membranes for kidney dialysis. The prototype hemodialyzers have demonstrated outstanding solute clearance performance compared to synthetic polymer membranes currently used. EMV Technologies, LLC has moved their offices to 205 Webster Street in Bethlehem, PA. EMV Technologies' work in membrane development has recently appeared in the Journal of Membrane Science (Volume 319, July 2008, P.192) and at the American Society of Nephrology's Renal Week 2008.
